RIVERCLAN
GReYFLOWER
AGE
37 moons
GENDER
Female
RANK
Deputy
APPEARANCE
A small bicolored she-cat with striking yellow eyes and long, plush fur.
Greyflower is an almost flawless example of a fit Riverclan cat. She is small and lean, with a weight that makes it easy for her to carry herself across water when it's necessary. She doesn't lack muscle, however, as that factor is essential when it comes to fighting currents among the rivers that run through the forest like veins.
She possesses long, thick fur that shields her from the cold of water. This fur also comes in handy during the winter, but otherwise she goes through the hell of the heat during the remaining seasons. Her tail is incredibly long and feathery and seemingly softer than the rest of her body, but she finds a use for it when running and swimming due to the way it assists her balance. It could also be used as a blanket or a bed during the colder days for obvious reasons. Greyflower exhibits a gorgeous palette of color on top of her nearly flawless body structure.
Her base colors will and has remained a silky white and light grey shade, draping over her from head to toe. The grey color may also seem like a lilac blue, but either name works. On top of these graceful shades is a soft, pale orange with darker tabby markings hidden in the shadows. Only when one is looking closely will they see the almost hidden markings among the orange color on her body. Finally, her eyes stand out among her pale colors as a striking yellow, similar to that of a dandelions.
PERSONALITY
This dainty she-cat brawls the world with an attitude that most middle-aged females own. She was raised by a loving mother and father who passed their traits down to her, while others she was practically born with from the moment she came into the world.
Since the day she was born Greyflower has maintained an extremely friendly behavior. She isn't too friendly however. The last thing she would do is start bouncing off the walls with how much cheer fills her little chest. She's very calm and relaxed when she needs to be and can filter out her excitement in a very organized manner, the opposite of what most kits do. But this doesn't make her a total stick in the mud.
Greyflower also sports a very motherly aura about her. She looks out for her own and can even be overprotective at times. But with this comes her unconditional love and compassion to those she cares about. With her as a friend, anyone can count on her to help them feel a little less awful.
HISTORY
It was around midnight that one of the pregnant queens in the nursery stirred in their comfy nests. Within a few minutes she was crying out in pain, summoning both her mate and the medicine cat to her side. After an hour of two of being in labor, the queen was told she'd brought three kits into the world. The smaller male of the litter had stopped breathing and passed away however, and what remained were two beautiful female kits who were later named Greykit and Shellkit.
Despite being born on the same occasion, Greykit had always seen herself as an older sister to Shellkit. She was birthed before her, after all. After hearing this fact she began acting like a role model to her sister, always standing tall with her head held high and showing only love and respect to those around her. Shellkit adapted to this behavior and soon played along, to Greykit's relief. And this close relationship of theirs carried on through apprenticeship.
With apprenticeship came the assignment of a mentor. As excited as Greypaw was to start training, she didn't want to be separated from her sister for such long periods of time. She did adjust to the changes however and began focusing more on her training than the time spent with her little sister. With that, they grew apart from each other. They found independence, Greypaw specifically. She started making new friends with the other apprentices and created tight bonds with them. Her tight-knit relationship with Shellpaw seemed to fade away into nothingness.
That was all until the plague invaded their camp walls. Just as Greypaw's training was coming to a conclusion, all the cats in camp started dropping like flies. Not to mention the sickness was horrific to even watch as much as experience. Even her mentor was murdered by the "biting sickness," as they called it. One morning she wandered into his den and there he lay, foaming from the mouth and motionless. All the other cats in the den were off doing their warrior duties and she was left alone to stare at his lifeless body, sobbing, unable to move herself.
She'd never forget how he looked. So lifeless and so dark.. the image would never escape her mind. Her leader decided it'd be best to continue her training despite the event, and Greypaw was soon promoted to Greyflower.
The illness continued to rip through the entire forest. It fell upon her friends, her fellow warriors.. and one day, she discovered her sister had come down with it. The thought of her younger sister venturing into Starclan at such an early age made the she-cat sick to her stomach. She tried to visit her ill littermate as often as possible but she was almost always sent away by either her or the medicine cat (while they were alive) in protest that she may catch the illness.
Luckily she never did. Otherwise she would've been sent away like the rest of the ill cats. The crisis continued to stand on all fours until one day her leader announced that all sick cats would be sent away to their deaths for the safety of the rest of the clan. Greyflower, as heartbroken and horrified as she was, tried to follow Shelltail out of camp in hopes of taking care of her until she was better. But she refused to let her come along. Instead she asked her sister to stay and live a long, happy life. So Greyflower agreed.
Ever since she wishes to live up to her sister's dying wish and live a life with memories she won't forget.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
The announcement sent horrific tremors rushing through her body almost immediately. Her ears folded back against her head and she stood to her paws, her yellow eyes focusing on the she-cat sitting beside her. This couldn't be happening.. no, this was too cruel. They couldn't just send the ill cats away. That wasn't fair.. that wasn't right. That wasn't what Starclan would suggest, even with something as serious as this.
Her younger sister looked just as horrified as her, if not worse. Within seconds, tears were rushing down her hot cheeks, blending in to the orchestra of cats protesting and sobbing uncontrollably around her. They were going to send her away to die alone along with the rest of the ill. Even the elders, the queens, the kits. All the thoughts that were cramming themselves into Grayflower's mind were making her dizzy and she found herself unable to assist her sobbing sister until her head became clear. When it did, all the noise and movement around her faded away into nothingness. Her attention settled on her sister.
"It'll be okay," She whispered, moving close to her litter mate and leaning her head against hers. "I'll go with you. I'll take care of you." Instantly, her little sister tore away in a mess of white fur. "No.. no, you can't. You can't come with me. You'll die. You need to stay alive and live a long, beautiful life here." She frowned. "On my behalf." Greyflower stopped herself from letting out a sob. Instead she took a deep breath and looked down, unable to muster the strength for words.
What would she do?
