Until recently, Praesidium stood as a bastion of safety against Earth's most predominant threat: Ferals- ferocious and hungry beasts with baser intelligence and almost nonexistent weaknesses, along with the ability to add to their ranks with nothing but a bite or a scratch- and seemed to be the most secure haven available. When a reconstruction project designed to spearhead a new movement toward unity and city-wide improvement became the stage for horrible tragedy, the safest city on the planet has become ground zero for one of the largest slaughters in modern history. With the threat pressing in from all sides, seemingly without end, and no way to get everybody out en masse, despair and terror run rampant. But Praesidians aren't quitters, nor are they wholly without hope, though. Battle-hardened soldiers, the strongest of supernaturals and their gifted, dedicated support networks live within these walls- warriors who built their town from dust- and they won't go down without a fight.
